my experience

My experience within the Bruins organization allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of event planning and design. I feel very fortunate that I’ve had the opportunity to execute various types of events, from multiple perspectives, all of which have shaped my approach to planning with precision, elegance, and care.

let's Meet

My name is Leandra Murphy, Owner and Lead Planner for Whispers of Wisteria. 
My event planning career began after graduating from URI in 2016, when I had the privilege of joining the Boston Bruins Professional Hockey Organization. I’ve have been there for over ten years.

In 2021, I launched Whispers of Wisteria, driven by my passion for event planning and design. In the summer of 2022, I proudly completed my first wedding, marking the beginning of a new chapter.

Selina Murphy; Signage Specialist & Co Planner
 with over four years of dedicated experience in the wedding and events industry, Selina is the creative force behind many of our most visually stunning signage and stationary. With a foundation in graphic design and a deep passion for storytelling through visual elements, she specializes in signage, custom artwork, and elevated design that seamlessly ties together every detail.

Her thoughtful approach to design ensures that every piece—from welcome signs to seating charts and day-of details—feels intentional, refined, and unforgettable.

In addition to her design expertise, Selina has played a key role in co-planning and curating our social media presence, helping shape the brand’s voice and visual identity online with the same creative finesse she brings to every event. Selina’s work consistently brings our clients' visions to life in meaningful and memorable ways
